Demolition Matching Grant

A grant to match up to $75,000 that you invest to demolish vacant buildings and remove the debris.

This grant program is an incentive to owners of under-performing buildings located on W192 within the development authority area. The W192 Development Authority plan states, “the Corridor’s older building inventory does not match the requirements or expectations broadly demanded by today’s market.” The purpose of the grant program is to remove conditions of blight by using Tax Increment Financing to leverage private investment to demolish blighted buildings and bring sites into conformance with current codes. This will remove long-time vacant commercial structures and return public benefits such as enhanced corridor aesthetics, pedestrian comfort and public safety.

Façade Improvement Matching Grant

A grant to match up to $30,000 that you invest to improve the appearance of your business, including new landscaping, exterior painting and siding, exterior lighting and other improvements.

This grant program is an incentive to owners of buildings and businesses to improve building façades, also to owners of existing structures (storage containers, sheds, trash enclosures, etc.) located on W192 within the development authority area. The W192 Development Authority plan states, “the Corridor’s older building inventory does not match the requirements or expectations broadly demanded by today’s market.” The purpose of the grant program is to use Tax Increment Financing to leverage private investment in making improvements to building façades and to demolish blighted or nonconforming structures and replacing them with new conforming structures. This will remove longtime nonconforming structures and return public benefits such as enhanced corridor aesthetics, pedestrian comfort and public safety.
